Dr. Willits completed her family medicine residency at the Waco Family Medicine Institute. She was awarded the May Wang “Most Compassionate Physician” Award and served as a chief resident.

Dr. Willits, with her husband and kids, lived in West Africa from 2010-2018 where she served as a medical missionary, caring for some of the most financially impoverished and medically underserved people of the world. Since returning to the United States, her work has been in primary care, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine.

When not working, Dr. Willits loves spending time with her family. She enjoys reading, running, scuba diving, hiking, and being outdoors.
